John Martyn Memorial School celebrates 30th Founder’s Day
John Martyn Memorial School grounds came alive this evening with their 30th Founder’s Day celebrations. Founder Trustee Mr. Gulab Ramchandani and Headmaster of Doon School lighted the ceremonial lamp. The school choir recited the welcome song and also an English group song. The school’s activities report was presented by two students of Class V. Itni si khushi and Dancing Dolls were presented by the little ones of Nursery, KG, Classes I and II. Bewkoofon ka mela was a humorous skit conceived by theatre artist Shefali Chopra Gandhi based on a Birbal story. The dances- the Bengali dance, the traditional Assamese Bihu dance and the grand finale, Indiawalleh, conceived by artist Krishna Ghosh, were very much enjoyed by the parents and village community.
In addition to the Trustees, Founder Mady Martyn’s son Mr. Dilsher, Dr. Dhirendra Sharma, Principals of Jaswant Modern School and PYDS were also present on the occasion.
