51 students of Classes IV and V escorted by 4 staff members went for a week-long Outstation Trip to Delhi and Agra. In Delhi, we stayed in the Sheeshganj Gurudwara . Children learnt a lot from the guided tour of historical places and monuments. They also got a chance to attend the Light and Sound Show in Red Fort. All the children climbed all the way up to the Minar in Jama Masjid. In Agra, apart from Taj Mahal, they visited the Agra Fort. On the way back the group stopped by to see the birthplace of Lord Krishna in Mathura. It was a memorable trip. Thanks to the Travel Fund under the leadership of Mr.A.K Mahindra who made this trip possible.
The School at Salangaon
Set in the foothills of the Himalayas, the John Martyn Memorial School provides primary education from Kindergarten up to class five for the children of nearby villages. These rural children, many from impoverished families, are being given a unique opportunity to have the first five years of formative schooling in an enlightened educative and nurturing environment.
